🐿️ Generic methods land in Go 1.27, and a million goroutines eat 13 GB
The Go blog's write-up on generic methods is the piece to read, confirming the feature arrives in 1.27 and drawing the expected discussion on Lobsters and Mastodon. Alongside it, a hands-on post traces where 13 GB went after spawning a million goroutines, a useful corrective to the usual "goroutines are basically free" shorthand. Also on the radar: an x/crypto/ssh security fix is pre-announced for September 2, so anyone pinning that module should pencil in an update.
