The accepted proposal to add an omitzero option to encoding/xml is the notable bit of standard library news, bringing it in line with the same semantic already accepted for encoding/json and sparing everyone another round of custom MarshalXML methods. Elsewhere, a post arguing against coupling Go code to GitHub is making the rounds on Lobsters, and Anton Zhiyanov's interactive mini-book on Go concurrency is the sort of thing worth bookmarking even if the fundamentals are familiar.
