net/http gets Server.HandleRequest; HTTP/1 reuse gets faster in 1.27

Damien Neil's proposal to add a ServeHTTP method on net/http.Server has been accepted, giving handlers a sanctioned way to feed a request through a Server as if it had arrived over the wire. It pairs nicely with the Go blog's writeup from Nicholas Husin and Neil on better HTTP/1 connection reuse in 1.27, which promises meaningful speedups for programs firing many sequential HTTP/1 requests. Elsewhere, a proposal for ParseCompressedPublicKey in crypto/ecdsa is open for discussion, and one Medium author recounts replacing a 340-character regex with an LLM and living to regret parts of it.
