TinyGo 0.44 ships, maps.Grow and an RSS memory profile accepted
TinyGo 0.44 is out, with smaller and faster binaries, more multicore support on microcontrollers, Arduino UNO R4 support and a round of Bluetooth work. Upstream, two proposals landed on the same day: maps.Grow, so you can pre-size a map before bulk inserts without rehashing, and a new RSS memory profile type in runtime/pprof that gives a holistic breakdown of a process's memory rather than just the Go heap. Elsewhere there is a careful write-up on closing the check-then-dial gap for SSRF protection using the dialer's Control hook, which pairs nicely with the pprof work for anyone currently squinting at a production process wondering where the bytes went.

tl;dr: This is a proposal to introduce a new "memory" profile type in runtime/pprof . This will provide Go users with a holistic breakdown of their pr
